john sasaki is live for us in newtown where a memorial has been set up for the victims. john. >> reporter: we are in sandy hook. this is one of the primary places people are coming to pay their respects to the people who were lost in this tragedy two days ago. but just up the hill if you want to take a look up there, that is where you see the folks walking up the street, that is the route people are taking to actually walk up toward the school and toward the fire house. that area is actually blocked off by the state police. nobody can drive up there expect for emergency personnel and residents that live up there. people still want to walk up there and get as close as they can to pay as many respects as they can to all the folks up there including the firefighters in that volunteer fire house. here this is really the primary folks people are coming and bringing flowers as you can see they are lighting candles. they are bringing teddy bears. hanging various things on the christmas trees that are here as well. and earlier we did talk to a father who brought his six-year- ol
